Billy Sharp’s hat-trick looked to have sent the Blades on their way to a convincing victory.
But goals from Tyrone Mings, Abraham and substitute Andre Green completed an amazing turnaround.
The comeback wasn't sparked until the 82nd minute with demoralised Villa fans already trudging away from Villa Park at that stage.
Abraham, whose goal made him the first Villa player to reach 20 league goals in a season since Peter Withe in 1981, had a message for those who left early.
The on loan Chelsea striker took to Twitter to write: “What can I say.... if you left at 3-0 well then you missed the comeback! never give up!
